Parking Lot and River Access Closed
Little Miami River Access Improvements at Bass Island will continue through summer of 2026. The Bass Island parking lot and river access will be closed during this time. Please refer to the project page for more information and check the website for updates on alerts and closures.
Golf Cart Paths Closed
Due to ongoing work for the Shawnee Lookout Stream Restoration project, the former golf cart paths are closed beginning March 25, 2025. Eagle’s Landing parking lot remains open. Park roads and other trails are not affected.
Werk Road - Partial Park Closure
A limited area within Werk Road Property is temporarily closed due to early site preparation for park improvements beginning later this year.
Sharon Woods Harbor - Snack Bar Closed/Temporary Boathouse Location
The Snack Bar at Sharon Woods Harbor will be closed during the Harbor Revitalization project.
Beginning Thursday, May 28, boat rentals (single kayaks, tandem kayaks, canoes and pedalboats) are available at a temporary boathouse at Lakeside Lodge, 4661 Kemper Road. This temporary location is open seasonally for the duration of the project.
Water Off at Highwood Lodge
The water is currently off at Highwood Lodge and the restrooms are closed.
Glenwood Gardens - Traffic Changes
A section of sidewalk as well as the eastbound lane dedicated for outbound vehicular traffic from Glenwood Gardens heading straight to Glendale Milford Rd. or right onto Springfield Pike between the park entrance and the Springfield Pike intersection will be closed intermittently from Monday, June 22 through Wednesday, Aug. 1. Full-day closures of the sidewalk section are expected Tuesday, June 23, and Friday, June 26.
Wooded Horse Trails Closed
The Miami Whitewater Forest Wooded Horse Trails are closed due to wet conditions.
Shawnee Lookout Boat Ramp - Parking Lot Closed
The Shawnee Lookout boat ramp is now open, but the parking lot remains closed until silt and debris from flooding can be removed.
Sharon Woods Wetland Plantings UTV Advisory
Wetland restoration work around Sharon Lake is planned from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, June 26-July 10. Trail closures are not expected, but guests may encounter a UTV traveling intermittently along the Sharon Lake Trail to transport plantings to various restoration sites.
Winton Lake Bacteria Levels
Bacteria Levels in the lake are currently above the recreational threshold in Ohio. Ingesting the water may be harmful to you or your pet’s health. Wash your hands after coming into contact with the water.
